About the Scholarship
The endowment scholarship set up at The Music Settlement in Cleveland, Ohio is used in the Music Therapy Department.
Music Therapy is used for many different issues, from stress relief to mental, emotional and behavioral problems. It has been shown to help treat depression and anxiety and is often used to help elderly clients deal with memory loss associated with diseases such as Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia. It is also been proven to help autism by supporting emotional, cognitive, social development and promote communication. It offers hope and is a positive impact on peoples lives.
The the initial amount needed for the endowment fund was $10,000. This goal was met last year and the fund in Susan's name will be here long past any of us. She will live on forever not only with the people that loved her but it will go towards helping so many others. (If donating, please enter "in memory of Susan Rasch")
Those who donate will receive an acknowledgment letter from The Music Settlement thanking them for their gift, this can also be used for your charitable tax donations for 2019.
