Audwan is the first recipient of the Susan Rasch Music Scholarship Fund at the Music Settlement.

 

Audwan is a 12 year old special boy who was diagnosed with epilepsy, developmental delays, hearing impairment and is non-verbal. Despite the diagnosis, Audwan always has a smile on his face and is a very happy boy who loves music. His favorite artists are Maroon 5 and Phil Collins. 

 

In the Music Therapy Studio they have been concentrating on helping Audwan improve his motor skills. They teach him how to play a variety of instruments and let him explore the sounds and vibration of each of them. During this process he has discovered a love for drums and the sound of the guitar. Audwan has also developed a special bond with his music therapist, Hanna.
